The first selection of the afternoon from Sandown is the Class 3 Limited Handicap Chase over 2m4f and Bothwell Bridge for Nicky Henderson looks an exciting chase prospect.

The six year old was a smart bumper horse at the start of 2020, Finishing second on both his runs behind the likes of Third Time Lucki and Boothill.

In November last year he stepped up for his hurdles debut and looked a natural winning a 2m3f event at Warwick by a wide margin.

He then went to Newbury and had to settle for third behind the superstar Bravemansgame, but got back to winning ways at Hereford, stepping up to 3m1f and taking the contest by 39 lengths.

Looking to mix it in Grade One company he went to Aintree in the Sefton Novices' Hurdle, but was unfortunately pulled up running no race.

Having not been seen since then he makes his hurdles debut today and could be a seriously talented horse over the bigger obstacles.

Trainer To Follow - Venetia Williams

Venetia Williams is a handler bang in form at the moment coming off the back of her recent Ladbrokes Trophy win last Saturday with Cloudy Glen.

On Friday she has some live chances from both Exeter and Sandown on ITV and with that in mind she has come on the radar as the trainer to follow.

Starting at Sandown her best chance of the day looks to be Desque De L'Isle in the handicap chase with the eight year old looking to make it four wins in seven races.

At Exeter, L'Homme Presse looks a smart chaser in the making, having his first try over the bigger obstacles having shaped nicely over flights last term.

Williams heads into Friday sporting a strike rate of 36% for the last two weeks, having landed four winners from 11 runners which is remarkable.

Jockey To Follow - Harry Cobden

Finally, the Jockey to follow on ITV on Friday is the superstar Harry Cobden who has a lot of big chances at Sandown, mostly for trainer Paul Nicholls.

Cobden's first big chance of the day comes in the Limited Handicap Chase with Halo Des Obeaux looking to build from his seasonal debut over fences, having ran well before falling at the last.

In the last he sits on Storm Arising in the Pertemps Qualifier, with the gelding a proven stayer that could go very close.

Cobden heads into the Sandown meeting running at a 27% strike rate having managed to land eight winners from his last 30 rides over the last two weeks.
