ITV Racing Tips for Today - Friday 15th May

The final day of the Dante meeting from York sees five races from the Knavesmire on ITV Racing on Friday, featuring the group two Yorkshire Cup. With a supporting handicap from Newbury and a listed sprint for the 2 year old fillies there's plenty to get stuck into. We've gone through all the live races and picked out our selections and tips for the day.

Pacific Mission 7/2

Looks a big price for this considering she brings the best form to the race, having placed in a Group two and then in a Group one at the Breeders’ Cup at the end of last season. Rated 109 and dropping back into listed company, she represents the in form Andrew Balding yard and will be hard to beat if fully fit.

Mustazeed 22/1

Won over C+D in September of last year but has been a tricky ride and has ruined his own chances of another win since. Departing the gates late at York before refusing to run back at Newbury on his final run of the season. Will come on for a recent pipe-opener on the all weather and a mark of 91 doesn’t look beyond his ability if breaking on terms.

Tony Montana 11/2

Only denied by a head in this race last year off a mark of 96 and returns back to the Knavesmire off the same handicap mark and with a solid prep run in the books. Well handicapped, nicely drawn and back up to 10 furlongs, he looks primed for another big effort in this race.

Lady Blanche 7/1

Ran ok on debut to be 3rd on slightly softer ground at Beverley to be 3rd but took a massive step forward to be an all the way winner at Bath on rattling fast ground 16 days ago. Karl Burke has a fantastic record with his juveniles and this filly will appreciate the quick ground and pure speed test of York.

Al Nayyir 7/1

Fully match fit from running over in Meydan, winning a Group Three over this trip before a good run to be 3rd over 2 miles in a deep looking Group Two. More comfortable at this trip and brings some smart form to the table and has finished in the frame on both his visits to this track.

Entailed 20/1

Ran well on seasonal return to be 3rd at Thirsk and only a neck behind Schrodinger’s Cat. That rival has given the form some substance since coming a close 2nd at Chester and a mark of 80 might just have some wriggle room for her. Rossa Ryan an eye-catching booking in the saddle and Gemmy Tutty is doing well with her horses with a 23% strike rate in the last two weeks.
