What Is a Horse Racing Accumulator Bet?

A horse racing win accumulator is a multiple bet made up of three or more selections from different races. For the bet to pay out, every selection must win.

To calculate the payout, the odds of each horse are multiplied together, increasing potential returns.

For example, if an accumulator contains four horses and one finishes second, the entire bet loses, even if the other three win.

An alternative is the Each Way accumulator. This is actually two bets in one; half (the win part) is the same as the accumulator described above.

The other half is the place part. This is essentially an accumulator on all the horse finishing in the places (usually top 3, but depends on the number of runners in each individual race). If one horse places, then the win part of the bet loses, but the place part can still pay out if all the other horses also place.
