One of the feature events on the afternoon is the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes 1m4f and Hurricane Lane should not be beat in this.

A superb son of Frankel for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin who had a blistering three year old Campaign last term winning the Dante Stakes at York before finishing third in the Derby when losing a shoe.

He then put things right when getting up late in the day in the Irish Derby to land bis first Group One and he kicked on from there taking The Grand Prix De Paris at Longchamp and then up in trip winning the St Leger in breathtaking style.

Last seen in the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe finishing a valiant third he holds the best form by a country mile in this field and if fully wound up shouldn’t be beat and is one of the bankers of the meeting for us.

Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby has been on fire this week landing some nice races up and down the cards and on Saturday he could field one of his best teams of the week.

In the second race of the day he unleashes Noble Truth for his second run of the season having won well on debut and he is a hot favourite in the Jersey Stakes.

Appleby fields another strong favourite in the Hardwicke Stakes with the Irish Derby and St Leger winner Hurricane Lane having his first run of the season.

Other smart runners on the day for the yard include Creative Force in the Platinum Jubilee Stakes, Falling Shadow and Blue Trail in the Golden Gates Stakes.

Appleby heads into the final day sporting a strike rate of 24% for the last two weeks which has seen him manage 10 winners from 41 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore has had a superb week landing the Gold Cup and other nice races throughout the week and he has a handful of chances on Saturday that could see him win the Royal Ascot Jockey championship.

His first big chance of the day comes in the Listed Chesham Stakes with Alfred Munnings looking a big talent for Ballydoyle and could be a superstar for the future.

In the Jersey Stakes the rider teams up with John & Thady Gosden on Audience with the three year old been knocking on the door of late and could pick up a place.

He could be playing second fiddle in the Hardwicke Stakes with the talented Broome but in the Wokingham he sits on Group winner Rohaan who could be better than this handicap.

Other nice runners for the rider include Sun King in the Golden Gates Handicap and Wordsworth in the Queen Alexandra Stakes.
