ITV Racing Tips for Today - Saturday 30th May

ITV Racing are live from three courses for nine live races on Saturday 30th of May. As Carlisle step in to host races scheduled for Haydock including listed and Group level contests. With supporting action from Beverley and Chester, we've gone through all the live races to pick out our tips and selections for the afternoon.

Ghaiyya 13/2

Has been progressive this season, winning well at Doncaster on her seasonal comeback before a good 2nd to a well treated rival over a longer trip at Hamilton. Didn’t quite get home on the stiff finish over 13 furlongs last time out, eases back slightly in trip now and still looks well enough treated off a mark of 92. The stiff finish over this trip will see her to maximum effect.

Urban Glimpse 10/3

Drops down in grade to Class 4 company now and showed some decent form at a higher level over this trip last season. Can be forgiven for a low-key effort on return after a long lay off and it should have sharpened him up nicely for this. A mark of 85 is well within his scope to get competitive.

Recency Bias 11/2

Won a novice over 7 furlongs but just got collared in a handicap over that distance last time out to be beaten narrowly. Looks like this drop to stiff 6 furlongs will be ideal and a handicap mark of 84 with a 5lbs claimer in the saddle leaves him looking nicely treated in this sphere.

Crystal Queen 9/1

Made a pleasing enough debut in a very tactical 3 runner affair with an odds on favourite. Will get a more genuine test here and will have learnt plenty for her debut effort. Represents the Richard & Peter Fahey yard who have won two of the last seven renewals of this race.

Rogue Lightning 13/2

Brings a touch of class to this field and will improve for his recent outing in France after a break. Has some strong form in the books in listed and group races and a good stamina test over 5 furlongs will see him to good effect.

Matteo 11/4

Made a very professional debut to win in good style over C+D on debut. The second has since come out and won to give the form some substance and he looked a really nice prospect in how he stretched clear of the field. Can make it a quick brace of career victories here.

Estrange 1/1

It’s hard to get away from Estrange at the top of the market for this, winning this race last year at Haydock before going on to win the Lancashire Oaks. Signed off last season with a Group One 2nd and looks a cut above her rivals here. Rated 6lbs+ clear of the field she can make it back to back wins in this contest.

Miami Matrix 14/1

Scored twice at Chester over 7.5 furlongs last season and made a pleasing debut for his new yard here earlier in the month. Has been dropped 1lbs in the weights for that effort and lines up here looking nicely handicapped off a mark of 85 at his favourite venue. Well drawn in stall 6.

Crest Of Fire 11/2

Returned from a break with an impressive display to win a maiden by 10 lengths on the all weather. Retains a mark of 86 for that effort and will relish the emphasis on stamina in the finish here. Looks the type to improve now handicapping.
