The Introductory Hurdle sees some potentially smart horses go to post this season and the stand out one is the Supreme Novices' Hurdle second favourite Jet Powered for Nicky Henderson.

Looking to extend his claim for the Grade One for the Cheltenham festival, under a penalty he takes on a field that will give him more of a test.

He was extremely impressive on debut over the same course and distance when demolishing Ittack blue who the Skelton’s like a lot, by 11 lengths and although under a penalty for this race he should win and will be shorted in the Supreme market behind Facile Vega.

The gelding cost £350,000gns in December 2021 and looks a superstar in the making.

Trainer To Follow - Nicky Henderson

Nicky Henderson sends some decent runners to Newbury on Saturday and having a great record at the track makes him the man to follow.

His first big runner of the afternoon comes in the Introductory Hurdle where the second favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle Jet Powered makes his second outing over hurdles.

In the feature Grade One Challow Novices' Hurdle Henderson steps Attacca up in trip which will suit him massively and chasing a hat-trick is a big each way player.

Jockey To Follow - Harry Cobden

Harry Cobden heads to Newbury on Saturday with a handful of nice rides for Paul Nicholls, starting in the opener where Grivetana has the best form on offer and now in calmer waters could be tough to beat.

In the competitive Handicap Hurdle over 2m 4 1/2f Cobden rides Silent Revolution off a mark of 136, having his first run since his chase debut that didn't work out, he could go well.

Finally, the riders big chance of the day comes on the favourite in the Grade One Challow Novices' Hurdle with Hermes Allen looking to strengthen his claim for the Ballymore at the Cheltenham Festival 2023.

Cobden heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 20% for the last two weeks, managing to land five winners from his last 25 rides.
