A trainer on Wednesday is looking to have a winner at Sedgefield over the jumps, sending just one runner to the northern based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 510 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Trainer Bernard LLewellyn has only ever bought 26 horses this far to race during his career and although not having a winner yet, has gone close a few times and today presents itself with a big opportunity to get off the mark when travelling this far.
He fields the likeable Port Of Starboard who has been a very consistent horse on both the flat and now over obstacles, finishing second ion all three of his hurdles starts this term.
Today he tackles good ground having been running on predominately soft ground, but it could bring improvement.
