One Horse, One Jockey And One Trainer To Follow On Day Five

Horse - Invincible Army

The horse we think is worth following on Saturday comes in the feature contest of the day the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes and Invincible Army looks the one to beat from his two runs this season.

The four year old colt heads here in the form of his life after two convincing wins at York & Doncaster and is proven over C&D - he is a versatile type who can act on any ground; definite claims and we expect him to be there at the finish.

This season has seen the James Tate trained colt really come into his own and going in search of a hat-trick i the contest that his trainer has been planning for him all season could be perfect.

He will have to step up again from his two runs but we expect a big run for this horse who is looking for his first Group 1 and it seems as if the ground has changed to suit him as well.

Jockey - Ryan Moore

Ryan Moore although an obvious choice being a jockey to follow for the last day has to perform to his best to be able to land the jockeys title from Frankie Dettori.

The rider has had a stellar Royal Ascot landing some really nice races including the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes and Group 2 Coventry Stakes but it all comes down to the final day.

As ever, he has some nice rides for the Aidan O'Brien yard starting with favourite in the first Lope Y Fernandez who looks a hugely-exciting prospect after doing little wrong on debut, winning eased down at the Curragh earlier this month, and being one of the few market principals to be proven over the 7f trip he looks the most solid option in this competitive affair.

In the second race of the day he has dual Group 3 winning So perfect who won impressively over 6f last time and although she now steps up in trip she certainly wasn’t stopping at the line then. She also looks versatile in regards to ground, and arriving from a short break it is highly likely she has been kept fresh for this.

He has So Perfect in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes who looks to have a fine chance at 9/2 but the race is highly competitive but the form line of the horse reads one of the best in the field.

The final race of the festival he has Max Dynamite for Willie Mullins and this 9yo has held his own in much better company than this and also ran a cracker in the 2017 Melbourne Cup, finishing third then. The trip is also no concern and having previously gone well returning from a break is it hard to pick out many negatives.

Trainer - Aidan O'Brien

Finally the trainer, again who is an obvious pick but can ever be overlooked is the master Aidan O'Brien and already having some nice winners throughout the previous four days he will be looking to add to that and secure the trainers championship.

As mentioned in the Ryan Moore section he has some serious chances tomorrow with Lope Y Fernandez who looks a hugely-exciting prospect after doing little wrong on debut.

In the second race he has dual Group 3 winning So perfect who won impressively over 6f last time and although she now steps up in trip she certainly wasn’t stopping at the line then.

Southern France looks to have a great chance in the Hardwicke having finished second and third behind first and third in the Ascot Gold Cup on Thursday.

With three strong chances on the day he is sure to go close in those contests and should see himself take the championship for another year.
