Believe In Love

After taking 6 attempts to break her maiden, Believe In Love started a winning thread. Scoring four handicaps in succession over 11 to 14 furlongs, she was sent off favourite for the 2020 Park Hill Stakes. Only managing to come third.

She’s been kept in group company since and has picked up an impressive three group races over the last couple of seasons.

Scoring over 14 furlongs in France and over the same trip over at Leopardstown last season.

Tries in higher grades left her exposed but she showed she’s still in fine form when winning a group 3 for fillies last time out. Easily getting the better of Urban Artist at York.

She’s shown good adaptability for underfoot conditions but looks more comfortable over a longer trip. She looks exposed over 12 furlongs in stronger company.

Age: 4
Weight: 9-7
OR: 96
Days: 35

Despite taking a few attempts to get off the mark, Nell Quickly scored a maiden over 10 furlongs last season before going on to find success in handicap ranks.

Winning over 10 and 12 furlongs to defy the assessments of the handicapper. Rounding out the season with a brilliant display to score a class 2 handicap at Newmarket.

Her return to racing this season saw her sights aimed higher and she wasn’t disgraced in group company behind Sea La Rosa here at Haydock.

Just being outbattled for 2nd late on, she looks to have a bit to find with Sea La Rosa but could easily come on for her first run of the campaign.

An impressive looking filly for William Haggas, the daughter of Sea The Stars failed to win as a 2 year old but came into her own last season.

Scoring a novice over a mile and a half, she then made the switch to handicaps. Posting some solid figures in handicap ranks she finished in the top two in four runs. Upped to group company off the back of her last handicap win, she ran well enough over a mile and a half to be 3rd.

Moved up in trip and down in class for her last outing of the season saw her pick up a listed win over 13 furlongs smartly at Lingfield.

She returned in the same form this season and scored a course and distance win back in May to beat Viola and Nell Quickly.

She looks to have more improvement to come.

Invite

Age: 4
Weight: 9-7

Scoring a maiden when in the care of Sylvester Kirk, Invite was moved to the care of Marco Botti for last season and took a couple of runs to find her feet. She looked to have put it all together when winning a low level handicap with any amount in hand over 10 furlongs.

She struggled to lie up in group company off the back of that and was then moved yards again to be with Andrew Balding. Winning a listed race handily on her first outing for her new yard.

She’s struggled in group company since, however being well beaten by Esaahda on her last outing of 2021 in the Champion Fillies and Mares, she’s shown very little on both outings this season.

It’s hard to have much confidence in her here after a couple of 7th place finishes.

Eshaada

A lightly raced sort, Eshaada got off the mark at the first time of asking for connections and immediately managed to make the step up to listed company on her first outing as a 3 year old.

Just touched off in the Ribblesdale last year, she was then well beaten behind Snowfall in the Yorkshire Oaks. Bouncing right back to form with a lethal display to capture a group 1 at Ascot to score the Champion Fillies and Mares Stakes she’s only been seen once since.

Running in a group 3 at Newbury at the end of May, she shaped like she needed the run and made very little impression. With that run in the books though she should shape better and brings some solid form to the table.

She does however look most comfortable with some juice in the ground.

Beaten at long odds in a maiden as a 2 year old, Free Wind went from strength to strength last season. Scoring her maiden by a wide margin she then backed that up under a penalty in novice company.

Upped to listed company off the back of that she finished a close 2nd but built upon that well to score a group 3 at Deauville with bundles in hand.

A return to the UK saw her absolutely bolt up in the Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster over 14 furlongs.

Going further last time out really brought out the best in her but she has shown she can be effective over 12 furlongs.

She arrives here fresh and if fully tuned looks to have a great chance.

Kawida

Age: 3
Weight: 8-9
OR: 107
Days: 29

This 3 year old filly failed to win in her first couple of outings over 7 furlongs last season until winning here at Haydock on soft ground in maiden company. Scoring at short odds.

She was moved straight up to listed company off the back of that success and scored handsomely over a mile to round out the season.

She hasn’t managed to continue her progression as a 3 year old however. Running a decent race to be 3rd in a group 3 at Saint Cloud she was then pitched into the Oaks.

Sent off a mammoth 40/1 she certainly outran her odds and finished a very respectable 5th in the fillies’ classic.

Moving up in trip seemed to really suit her last time out but she just lacked the quality to go with the front four. Dropping in grade should help and 12 furlongs looks her optimum.

Age: 3
Weight: 8-9
OR: 104
Days: 23

Hughie Morrisons 3 year old filly has only been seen four times on a racecourse. Making her debut back in January of this year on the all weather she made an eye-catching debut to stay on late. Looking green in running, she built on the experience to score at the second time of asking.

Moving up to 12 furlongs saw her win nicely and she just failed to back that up in listed company when coming 2nd to Nashwa over 10 furlongs at Newbury.

Kept at the same trip and level last time out, she scored smartly. Showing some decent stamina to power clear in the late stages.

She moves back up in trip here which should suit but she moves up markedly in class. If continuing her progression she’s in with a shout.
