Friday Throwback

Ulysses

The Juddmonte International is the only race everyone can talk about at the moment and back in 2017 it was won by the Sir Michael Stoute trained Ulysses.

The son of Galileo laded the York feature on his penulitmate start on a racecourse seeing off a superb field of runners that included Churchill and Barney Roy.

Ulysses throughout his career has always been an underdog in classy fields but the majority of the time has ran his race winning the Juddmonte, Coral Eclipse and placing in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

All this happened near the backend of his career and for how good he was, he does not get the respect he deserves.
