Good news for Frankie Dettori fans...
The popular jockey is set to return to the saddle at Lingfield this weekend after a three month absence from riding in the UK.
His last rides were back in November where he rode a Listed double at Lingfield aboard Scentasia & Crossed Baton for his main gaffer John Gosden.
It's been a rather quiet and uncharacteristically unsuccessful Winter for Dettori with him riding just eight times since the start of December and not managing to pick up one place or one win on any of those rides. It's a contrast to his 2019 as a whole after he picked up his 250th Group One winner when riding STAR CATCHER to victory in the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on Champions Day at Ascot.
Dettori is set to get the leg up on the impressive DUBAI WARRIOR this weekend as he looks to win back to back Winter Derby's for the second time in his career after he rode PARASOL and CALUKI to victory in 2003 and 2004 and obviously picked up the win in this race on WISSAHICKON last year.
It's set to be a busy 2020 for Dettori who will be looking to get back to winning ways aboard Enable after her Arc heartbreak and continue the fine form of the highly rated and unbeaten Colt LOGICIAN who was one of the standout horses in 2019.
