Earthlight Back To His Best And Heading For Foret

Earthlight

The Andre Fabre trained Earthlight got back to winning ways in the Group Three Prix du Pin at ParisLongchamp on Sunday and now it all systems go for the Prix de la Foret at the Arc meeting.

The Godolphin owned colt has won seven of his eight events to date including the Group One Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, only losing his unbeaten record last time out in the Prix Maurice De Gheest.

He made his seasonal reappearance this term in the Listed Prix Kistena and picked up from where he left off last season, but after the horses first defeat his handler thought a step up in trip was needed.

He went up to seven furlongs for the Group Three Prix du Pin and he got back to his best looking like a black type colt in lesser company.

Fabre has now outlined the Arc meeting as the next time he will be seen on a racecourse and after that the Breeders Cup meeting is something that the team are seriously considering.

“That was a prep race for the Foret so that is the obvious target for him.

“The Breeders’ Cup Mile could be an option later.”
