Who To Follow At Cheltenham On Friday - 11/12/20

Horse To Follow - Clondaw Castle

The feature race on the card is the rerouted Grade Two Peterborough Chase and in what looks a competitive renewal we fancy Tom George's Clondaw Castle.

The eight year old has been a fair chaser for many years, but has really taken his form to a new level this term when placing and winning in some competitive handicap events.

On seasonal debut he managed to finish a narrow second to Nuts Well in the Grade Two Old Roan Chase and then last time out got off the mark in fine style At Newbury in a decent Handicap off top weight.

He looks to be much better than a handicapping horse now and if improving on what he has done this season then he looks the value angle.

Trainer To Follow - Tom George

Tom George has had an up and down season to date but over the years has had some very good winners at Cheltenham and looks to have some big chances again on Friday.

In the big race of the day he fields two runners in Bun Doran and Clondaw Castle with the latter horse having a huge chance having ran well on both occasions this season.

George also looks to have another big shout in the last race of the day with Come On Teddy getting weight from the majority of the field which should tell.

The handler has had one winner and one place at the track this term and has a big chance to add to that on Friday.

Jockey To Follow - Tom Scudamore

Tom Scudamore is a very experienced jockey that when riding at Cheltenham is always a good person to keep on side, especially having already landed some nice winners at Prestbury Park this term.

On Friday the rider has a big chance in the feature Peterborough Chase with Clondaw Castle, but also in the first race of the day sits on Make Me A Believer for David Pipe who could cause an upset.

Scudamore over the last two weeks has been running at a decent 16% strike rate with his mounts having won five of his 30 rides.
