In 2019 the superstar sprinter Battaash lined up for the Nunthorpe again having never been at his best on the Knavesmire and had failed to win the race in every attempt.
However, last year he rewrote the history books and proved all doubters wrong when bounding clear in the final few furlongs to break the track record at the track.
This season he was been back to his best winning the Group One King's Stands Stakes at Royal Ascot for the first time and also taking a fourth consecutive King George Qatar Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.
He heads back to the Nunthorpe at the end of the month looking to give another similar pacy performance.
