The final event of the afternoon at Ayr on ITV is the feature event of the day with the Scottish Grand National over four miles and we have dutched the race.

We can't look past the favourite Kitty's Light in this event with the horse still on a lesser mark than when a good second in this last year, his trainer winning the race last year and this having already won over this trip this season, he has everything in his profile to run a big race.

A superb stayer at these trips, seen to date finishing second and third in a bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown the first time by a short head over 3m5f and second in a Scottish Grand National over four miles.

This season his mark of 144 looked to be beyond him and he has ran poorly on his first four occasions in what was maybe a ploy to get his mark down.

Next time out off a mark of 135 he ran a better race to finish third behind Annsam at Kempton in a competitive Handicap Chase over three miles.

Dropped a further 3lb to a mark of 132 when last seen in the Eider Chase over four miles at Newcastle he needed every bit of the trip to take the race.

He is 8lb higher to a mark of 140 for this event but having finished second to Win My Wings in this last year off 143, he could still be well in.

Trainer To Follow - Richard Hannon - Newbury

The trainer to follow from Newbury on ITV on Saturday is the experienced Group One winning handler Richard Hannon that had a nice winner at the Craven meeting in the week and can hopefully kick on now.

In the first race of the afternoon he fields his beloved Mojo Star who has been second in both a Derby and St Leger and back this season could have a big year.

Hannon then fields Magical Sunset in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes with this filly chasing a hat-trick having performed well at the back end of last season.

The handler then fields Classic in the Greenham Stakes with the three year old showing decent form last season and although needing to improve can out run his odds of 33/1.

In the final race on ITV he has Dawn Of Liberation and although a decent price of 14/1 some of his form last season sees him with place claims.

Jockey To Follow - Nico De Boinville - Ayr

A jockey at Ayr that could have a big Saturday is the multiple Grade One winning rider Nico De Boinville with Nicky Henderson sending a strong team to Ayr.

In the second race of the afternoon De Boinville sits on City Chief who is a live contender in the Novices' Champion Handicap Chase and could be the riders best chance on the day.

One of the races of the day is the Grade Two Scottish Champion Novices' Hurdle and First Street although top weight has the best back class in the field and could run well.

De Boinville then sits on Balco Coastal in the Grade Two Future Champion Novices' Chase and although needing to bounce back he drops in class and his form with Gerri Colombe is by far the best.

The final event on ITV from Ayr is the Scottish Grand National and he rides the once highly touted Dusart who looked a stayer last season.
