ITV Racing Tips for Today - Friday 19th June

It's Day Four of Royal Ascot on Friday 19th June and another full day of action on ITV Racing with all seven races on the card being shown live. With the feature being the Group One Coronation Stakes, there's another three strong group races spread across with card. Supported by another three puzzling handicaps, we've gone deeper into all seven races and picked out our tips for the afternoon.

Sun Goddess 5/4

Ballydoyle have done well with the Juvenile races again this week and off the back of her wide margin victory at the Curragh, Sun Goddess looks another smart one. Drawn high, experience in the books and represents a recent three times winner of this race.

Venetian Sun 6/4

Lethal over sprint distances, with a record of 5 wins from 5 sprinting runs. Demolished the field at Haydock last time out, getting to the front easily and powering clear. Already a C+D winner and looks too classy for these.

Plage De Havre 10/1

Scored in a good race by a wide margin last July and although 10lbs higher in the weights now he doesn’t look too badly treated. A fine 3rd at York last month looks to have set him up nicely for this and represents the top combination of Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding.

Precise 4/6

Top juvenile, winning two group ones but looked like she needed the run in the 100 Guineas when only finishing 7th. Bounced back to form in the Irish 1000 Guineas last time out and reversed the Newmarket form with stable mate True Love. Can confirm that form here and cement herself at the top of the division.

Green Carrera 20/1

Hit the front a little early in a decent handicap at the Curragh last time out when winning and isn’t too harshly treated 5lbs higher in the weights. Comes off a strong pace well, drawn nice and high and represents the in form Joseph O’Brien yard.

Golden Story 10/1

Looks a big price with the form of his last win getting a boost with Del Maro being narrowly beaten in the Queens Vase on Wednesday. Showed good stamina and pace to beat that rival at Goodwood last time out and is steadily progressing with each run. Will relish this extra distance and has good form in the books from just his three career runs.

Simplify 18/1

Travels powerfully and made didn’t look out of place in a listed race when coming 2nd to Dickensian last time out at York. Upped 5lbs in the weights for that, a mark of 96 is on the stiffer side but this big field handicap will see her to good effect with a hot pace to aim at. Progressing as a sprinter and looks like she’l be well suited to this test.
