Who To Follow At York On Saturday - 09/07/22

Trainer To Follow - Tim Easterby

Local trainer Tim Easterby has never been short of winners on the Knavemsire and at York on Saturday he could see himself back in the famous winners enclosure.

In the opening race of the day he will be hoping course and distance winner Garden Oasis can bounce back to form with his mark dropping down to a similar one of last win.

Easterby fields Misty Blues in the Nursery Handicap with the two year old filly looking to make it back to back wins.

The Yorkshire based handlers best chance of winner looks to come from Winter Power who is looking to land back to back renewals of the Listed City Walls Stakes.

In the lucky last Easterby has a two pronged attack in the 20 runner handicap with bottom weight Golden Apollo and superb yardstick Danzan, both in with chances.

Jockey To Follow - Danny Tudhope

Danny Tudhope seems to be riding in the form of his life at the moment having his best Royal Ascot to date with four winners and on Saturday looks to have another nice book of rides at York.

In the opener he sits on Blue For You for David O'Meara who is currently the second favourite and then in the Stayers Handicap he is on the favourite Danni California who steps up to two miles for the first time in her career.

Tudhope teams up again with O'Meara in the Nursery Handicap with Just Janet heading into the event off the back of his win last time out.

In the John Smith's Cup Handicap over 1m2f, Tudhope rides Brilliant Light for Saeed bin Suroor who is not ruled out and then in the Listed City Walls Stakes jumps on Atalis Bay who is not short of pace.

The rider rounds off the afternoon in the Sprint Handicap on board Muscika for David O'Meara with the horses dropping mark and course form giving him a big chance.

Tudhope heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 17% for the last two weeks which has seen him manage eight winners from his last 48 rides.
