Who To Follow at Warwick On Monday - 15/02/21

Horse To Follow - Amarillo Sky

The Class 4 Handicap Hurdle over two mile sees some potentially smart horses and it looks to be a race that will through out plenty of winners in the future.

The horse we are siding with on Monday is Amarillo Sky for Colin Tizzard, with the yard having a torrid season, but now getting a run of winners.

The five year old looks to be a horse with big potential having won his point to point comfortably in March 2020 and this season ran well in two tough novice hurdle events.

Having finished fourth behind Dusart and Soaring Glory at Newbury, he went to Ascot in November and again ran a credible race to finish fourth behind Grade One winner Metier.

Today he steps up for his handicap debut and off what looks a workable mark he should be in the mix.

Trainer To Follow - Dan Skelton

Dan Skelton is a trainer that has had a fine season to date and is now looking to give some of his horses a final run before the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals.

At Warwick on Monday he has some extremely live chances with the best of the day coming from Allmankind in the Grade Two Kingmaker Novices Chase.

The Grade One winner over fences should take out this race before heading to the festival and another big chance for Skelton comes from the veteran Oldgrangewood who loves running in these types of handicaps.

Skelton has been in serious form over the last few weeks running at a strike rate of 28.57% having had eight winners from 28 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Richard Johnson

Finally, the jockey we believe is worth following on Monday at Warwick is the four time champion rider Richard Johnson, who has a few decent chances.

In the first race of the day he sits on Stellar Magic who is currently unbeaten in both his hurdles events to date and should go well again under a penalty.

Other big chances for the same trainer Philip Hobbs is Guernsey and Smarty Wild who if jumping to a good standard will be in the frame.

Johnson is a man you want to have on side having had six winners from his last 21 runners which sees him running at a 28.57% win rate.
