Who To Follow At Ascot On Saturday - 03/10/20

Horse To Follow - Daahyeh

Ascot host the best card of the weekend in England and in the first race of the day we have gone with the Roger Varian trained Daahyeh as a our horse to follow.

The filly has been a shining light for the yard over the last two years putting in some strong performances in group races and now dropping down to Listed company should give a bold showing.

The three year old has not finished outside the top two on all six of her runs to date, landing the Group Three Albany Stakes, Group Two Rockfel stakes and also placing in the Group One Fillies Mile at the Breeders Cup meeting on her final start last term.

Although this is her first race of the season, she should have the class to see off this field that don't have the same past form as she does.

Trainer To Follow - Roger Varian

Roger Varian has had a very successful season this term and with two weeks left of the flat season he will be looking to sign off with some nice winners and he has some great chances at Ascot on Saturday.

In the first race he fields Daahyeh for the first time this term, with the three year old being a very smart filly having won and placed in group company as a juvenile.

He also sends Cape Byron out for his first run of the season after being off the track for sometime, but being a Ascot specialist he has a great chance to get off the mark on his first run of the season.

Varian has been flying over the last two weeks having landed eight winners from 35 runners which sees him pose a 22.86% Strike rate.

Jockey To Follow - Jamie Spencer

Jamie Spencer has had a torrid time of things over the last year, suffering with a terrible injury but he is now back riding and on Saturday he has some lovely rides.

The rider has been in very good form over the last few weeks having two winners from eight rides which sees him running at a 25% strike rate.

On Saturday he has a great chance to add to that strike rate with rides on Maid In India in the five furlong sprint contest and Mighty Spirit for Richard Fahey in the lucky last.
