Three Standout Performances - 06/11/2018

12:15 - I Could Do Better

I Could Do Better - trained by Keith Dalgleish, proved he was better than the rest of the field on his debut when landing Division I of the British Stallions Studs EBF Novice Stakes at big odds.

Prominent throughout, he was ridden entering final furlong by Graham Lee, and held on well from the repeated challenge of King of Comedy, who was a very short price favourite.

13:10 - Majdool

Majdool - who has been tough to manage of late, finally put it right when scoring in Division I of the sunracing.co.uk Handicap.

The success for Noel Wilson also completed a quick-fire treble for David Nolan, who won the first three races at Wolverhampton, on all three rides he had on the day.

Majdool - held up early on, was ridden in the final furlong, and stormed clear of his opposition.

14:05 - God's Own

Ten-year-old God's Own won the Haldon Gold Cup for the second time on his seasonal reappearance at Exeter this afternoon.

A triple Grade 1 chase winner, he was third in the Queen Mother Champion Chase behind Altior earlier this year, and looks set for another campaign for the Wednesday Festival feature.

Tracking the leaders throughout, he began to produce his challenge 2 out, and despite edging left, he kept on well to lead towards the finish, beating Ozzie The Oscar and San Benedeto.
