David Pipe Mini Stable Guide

Hurdler To Follow - Main Fact

David Pipe threw out Main Fact as his hurdler to follow from his yard for the season and it is very easy to see why off the back of what he did last year.

The seven year old has been a very consistent sort for the yard being fairly unexposed over the last few years having raced just six times since December 2019.

This year Main Fact is currently unbeaten winning all five of his events between 2m and 2m3f, going up in the handicap but showing signs of progression with each run.

He was last seen at Uttoxeter in March when bolting up in a Class 2 Handicap by 15 lengths to the likeable Kateson for Tom Lacey.

Pipe has opted to keep him over hurdles this year and off the back of his form he is certainly one for the notebook.

Chaser To Follow - Siruh Du Lac

Siruh Du Lac is a new recruit for the Pipe yard this term having been with Nick Williams over the last few years, but he looks an exciting chaser for Pipe having performed at a high standard during his career to date.

The seven year old was an average hurdler that was switched to chasing in 2017 and has not looked back since landing five of his 10 events over the bigger obstacles.

Over the recent years he has become a bit of a Cheltenham specialist winning at Prestbury Park in January 2019 and then going on to win the Brown Advisory Plate at the festival under a great ride by Lizzie Kelly.

Last season he found things difficult only running twice at Cheltenham and being pulled up and falling on his two runs and owners are hoping the move to David Pipe can reignite his career.

Dark Horse For The Season - Baldur's Gate

The handler gave us a dark horse to follow from his yard this season and that is Baldur's Gate, who has not been seen on a racecourse in his life before but is certainly worth keeping an eye on when he does run, with Pipe thinking he could turn out to be something special.
