Betfair Ambassador's Trainers Quotes Ahead Of The Weekend - 13/03/21

Betfair Ambassador Insight – Saturday 13th March

There is plenty of top class horse racing on Saturday in the UK and Ireland and Betfair’s stable of ambassadors have some strong chances….

Leading handlers Paul Nicholls, Joseph O'Brien and Olly Murphy have given some key quotes about some of their horses running at the weekend that are worth taking note of.

Paul Nicholls: Malaya can bounce back at favoured track

“Malaya was a bit disappointing last time at Ascot where I felt the step up in trip would be in her favour. But after watching her that day I am not convinced that is the case. While Malaya can be a bit in and out she won this race two years ago, so we know the track suits her well and it wouldn't surprise me to see her bounce back to form..”

Joseph O'Brien: Global Equity could be back in the black at Limerick

“Global Equity had the option of potentially waiting for the Mares' Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, but we've decided to stay at home and run in this over the longer trip. Global Equity has been progressing nicely in recent starts and it was great to get her some more black type at Navan last time. That form entitles her to be in the mix again in this.”

Olly Murphy: Presence of Mind could run well at big price at Hereford

“Presence Of Mind has been very disappointing on his two runs this year, but he jumps his fences very well and is a previous point-to-point winner. He’s reunited with David England who’s 2-2 on him, and he’s a horse who could run well at a big price.”

Race to Cheltenham Tips: Kevin Blake's final £50 pot-building picks before the Festival

“Patroclus hasn't looked particularly well suited by making the running in his last two starts and this more competitive environment is likely to allow him to get a lead which promises to suit. The likely greater emphasis on stamina also promises to suit. All told, it wouldn't at all surprise to see him improve enough to go very close.”
