Bet365 Fillies Mile Guide

1. Ananya

Trainer - Peter Chappelle-Hyam

Jockey - Brett Doyle

The first horse in the nine runner Group One is one of the outsiders in the field with Ananya getting thrown in at the deep end for her first ever step up to black type company.

In her previous runs this season she has been below par, especially in her last two runs where she was stepped up to group company.

Over seven furlongs at Newmarket in the Solera Stakes she was a weak fifth and finished the same place over a mile in the Group Two May Hill stakes at Doncaster.

She needs a huge improvement in this softer ground in which she has never ran on before.

2. Anastarsia

Trainer - John Gosden

Jockey - Frankie Dettori

John Gosden has just the one runner in this contest and his juvenile filly Anastarsia looks to have a serious pedigree being out of Sea The Stars.

However, this contest may have come just a bit soon for the two year old who has ran to a good standard on both her outings at Ascot at Newcastle but the huge step up in Class on Friday could find her out.

She won nicely last time out on the all weather to suggest she could be useful but she is still an unknown entity in this sphere and might be best being watched this time around.

3. Boomer

Trainer - Tom Dascombe

Jockey - Richard Kingscote

Boomer is an interesting filly who like the other runners has some form to reverse and can only do that if coming on for her previous racecourse experiences.

She won nicely at Newbury and Goodwood before finishing a smart second behind Powerful breeze at Doncaster last time out but she will need to change that form line to have any chance in this one.

4. Cayenne Pepper

Trainer - Jessica Harrington

Jockey - Shane Foley

One of the few unbeaten fillies entered into the race and Cayenne Pepper looks a really smart youngster for Jessica Harrington having scored well on all three of her outings.

Last time out was her most impressive run when taking the Group Three Flame Of Irish Tara Stakes at the Curragh with the ground having some cut in it that day which will help her at Newmarket on Friday.

She is a serious contender and the Irish raiders took this race last year.

5. Love

Trainer - Aidan O'Brien

Jockey - Ryan Moore

Another strong contender on the day is Aidan O'Brien's Love who has leading credentials heading into the Group One contest after landing her first black type win at the Curragh last time out.

The filly does not mind a little cut in the ground with a previous good run on her second start in good to soft conditions and with her Group Three and Group one winning form she should give another big run on her British debut.

6. Powerful Breeze

Trainer - Hugo Palmer

Jockey - James Doyle

Powerful Breeze looks a big improver for her yard showing plenty of ability in both her runs to date and she is another two year old in this contest who is looking to keep her unbeaten run.

On her first start She scored nicely in a Class 4 at Newmarket before winning the Group Two May Hill Stakes at Doncaster on her first run over a mile.

She is more than likely to improve once again in this sphere and has been flying at home according to her trainer.

7. Quadrilateral

Trainer - Roger Charlton

Jockey - Jason Watson

The favourite for Roger Charlton is taking a huge step up in grade but has to be respected off the back of the ability she has shown in her two starts to date.

She landed a Class 4 in good style at Newbury on debut and then backed that up with an impressive win in a Class 2 conditions stakes at the same course.

Being a daughter of Frankel she will handle the soft ground and she has to be feared if handling her first crack at a Group one.

8. Queen Daenerys

Trainer - Roger Varian

Jockey - William Buick

The penultimate runner in the race is Roger Varian's two year old who looks to be well bred out of Frankel also being bought for $500,000.

She has had two starts so far in her career finishing a good second on debut at Ascot and then got off the mark over course and distance at Newmarket in a Class 4.

Huge step up in class is needed but looks a potential improver and could turn into a really smart filly.

9. West End Girl

Trainer - Mark Johnston

Jockey - Adam Kirby

The final runner of the two year old contest West End Girl for Mark Johnston and this filly looks opposable if not bouncing back to form.

Two starts ago she won really nicely in a Group Three at Newmarket over seven furlongs but only beat one home at Doncaster after that and the wet ground will not help her cause.
