The first race of the afternoon is the Listed Carnarvon Stakes over six furlongs and we feel the value lies with the Richard Hannon trained Ehraz.

The three year old Shadwell Estate owned colt was seen three times last term having been bought for 180,000gns and on debut was a huge eye-catcher at Newmarket finishing second behind the smart Noble Truth, flashing home late from off the pace.

He was bought back to 6f off the back of that run over course and distance at Ascot and went on to bolt up in Maiden company, breaking his duck.Seen once more last term he was a strange fifth at York in the Group Three Acomb Stakes, with the race truly falling apart.

Back for another season he made his seasonal return in the Group Three Commonwealth Cup Trial and travelled like the best horse for a long way but just found very little, looking in need of the run.

Hopefully stripping fitter for that he can show his true turn of foot and looks a bet at around 5/1.

Trainer To Follow - John & Thady Gosden

John & Thady Gosden are currently in flying form at the moment and send some decent runners to Newbury on Saturday that suggests you should keep following them.

The first big runner for the yard on the day comes in the London Gold Cup Handicap with Israr looking to have a huge shout on just his fourth start.

In the Lockinge they are looking to have another Palace Pier type with Sunray Major stepping up in Group One company.

They are double handed in the Listed Haras De Bouquetot Fillies' Trial Stakes with Nashwa looking their best chance of the day and Bouquet also should not be far away.

Jockey To Follow - Jim Crowley

Jim Crowley has some superb rides on Saturday afternoon for his retained owners Shadwell Estate which makes him undoubtedly the rider to follow.

In the opening event of the day he rides the Richard Hannon trained Ehraz who travelled lovely last time out without finding much and now having a run under his belt should find more.

He has another leading chance with Group One winner Eshaada looking to build on her latest success and now down in grade should go close.

Israr is another key ride for the rider in the London Gold Cup Handicap, but his best chance of a winner across the day comes in the Group One Lockinge Stakes with Baaeed looking to make it 7/7 and his third Group One win.

Crowley has some other nice rides across the afternoon with Mukaddamah in the Listed Fillies' Stakes and Muraad in the finale.

The experienced rider heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 26% for the last two weeks, managing to land eight winners from 31 rides.
