Who To Follow In Britain On Sunday

Horse To Follow - Yafta - Newcastle

On Sunday our horse to follow comes from Newcastle in the Class 3 six furlong Conditions Stakes and Yafta for Richard Hannon can bounce back to form.

Richard Hannon has been flying with his runners at Newcastle this season having 11 runners and 5 winners which has seen him pose a strike rate of 45.45% at Gosforth Park.

Yafta is a five year old son of Dark Angel that at the start of his career had mixed it with the best over six and seven furlongs and landed some nice races.

Having previously taken the Group Three Hackwood Stakes and also placed in the Abernant Stakes and Chipchase Stakes over course and distance at Newcastle, his form is the best on offer.

However, of late he has been hit and miss in races he was being competitive in, but now dropping back to six furlongs and also heading back to the all weather are all positive signs for the horse.

Trainer To Follow - Richard Hannon

Richard Hannon has some stand out runners on Sunday at Newcastle, Sandown and Leicester and with having 15 winners over the last two weeks and some lovely performances at Glorious Goodwood, he is a trainer in superb form.

Having previously mentioned his stand out runner at Newcastle, Sandown is a track he has had a lot of success at this year and also during his career and this term he is currently posing a 16% strike rate with his runners.

The handler could be represented in four or five races on the Sandown card and also has some nice runners at Leicester who also host a nice card of races on Sunday.

Hannon has had two winners and four places from 15 runners at the track this term and will be looking to add to that.

Jockey To Follow - James Doyle

James Doyle although not having a stand out week at Glorious Goodwood he will be looking to put that right on the Sunday with a handful of classy rides at Sandown.

The Doyler has a respectable strike rate this season when riding at the track with two wins and three places from 13 rides seeing him pose a 15.38% record.

His stand out rides across the day include Alfie Solomons in the 13:45, Yibir in the 12:35 and the unraced Pholas in the next race for Amanda Perrett.
