Liberty Lane 12/1
Showed signs of returning to his best last time out and wasn't beaten far on the day. This step back up in trip looks likely to suit, and he can outrun his odds in what appears to be a wide-open race. He's already won at this track, and trainer Karl Burke has been in flying form of late.
Al Hudaiba 7/4
This horse could easily be 4-4 were it not for unseating his rider three starts ago, as he is clearly very talented. He has to shoulder a 3lb penalty, but that still looks more than lenient. With blinkers applied for the first time, they could easily iron out his quirks, making him the one they all have to beat.
Witness Stand 15/2
Winner of this race last year, beating the current favourite, and returned to a good level of form when finishing a close second in a Group 3 on Derby Day at Epsom two starts ago. With a record of 2-4 over this course and distance, he looks worth siding with at the prices.
Trawlerman 9/4
Faces his old rival Scandinavia, who got the better of him in the Gold Cup at Ascot, but with Aidan O'Brien's horses not in the best form of late, William Buick's mount could easily reverse that form here. His sole previous run at Goodwood came in 2022, when he won, so there's no reason why he can't score here again. That huge effort last time out was also his first run for 243 days, and he's fancied to come on significantly for it.
Vintage Clarets 16/1
He looks to be well handicapped now, judging by his last two runs, and can go close again here off an unchanged mark. He's versatile regarding the ground and was far from fortunate at Chester when last seen 45 days ago, having been forced to come very wide before staying on to finish a close third. Freshened up since then, he looks one at a price who could run a big race.
