Race 26 in this years Racing League sees the 1m2f Class 3 Handicap and Miami Thunder for Daryll Holland is the form pick in the race.

Moving from Ireland to Holland this season, he has been twice for this new trainer and has been pleasing on both his efforts.

A winner on yard debut over a mile at Newcastle when landing a Class 4 Handicap by just under seven lengths, he then raced over the same C&D when last seen and finished a short head second to Starshiba off 10lb higher.

This is a tougher event and he does race off a further 2lb higher mark, but his pedigree suggests he will suit the step up in trip and he looks one of the more likely winners.

Team To Follow - Team Ireland

Team Ireland have made great strides during the first three meetings of the 2023 Racing League to repair their reputation in this format having been less than impressive during the two years prior.

Currently sat in third in the Racing League table, they could be set for another good week at Newcastle with a handful of chances across the afternoon.

Looking through the seven races on the all weather at Newcastle on Thursday evening they have 10 chances to land winners but we have highlighted their best chances of the meeting.

The first comes in the Class 4 Handicap over 7f with Half Nutz posting two smart seconds of late and could go one better on the all weather on Thursday.

In the 19:15 Class 4 Handicap over 6f Team Ireland have both Nordic Passage and Conquistador with both of them holding leading chances with two nice jockey bookings.

The final event of the evening sees Alligator Alley looking to get back to winning ways but running to the same level has his second last time out the Ebor meeting puts him massively in the frame off 1lb lower in an easier race.
