Who To Follow At The Curragh On Sunday - 18/07/21

Horse To Follow - Key To The Kingdom

The horse to follow on Sunday at the Curragh is the Aidan O'Brien trained Key To Kingdom who looks to be a very smart son of Galileo.

The three year old has only been seen once to date and that run came in November last year when a decent fourth at Naas in a Maiden over a mile.

That race has turned out some nice horses, with stablemate King Of The Castle finishing back in fifth that day and has since gone on to win well at Limerick.

He steps up to 1m4f for his seasonal debut and from his pedigree it should suit him down to the ground.

Trainer To Follow - Jessica Harrington

Jessica Harrington is looking to have a sparkling day with her runners at The Curragh on Sunday and she has a fair few chances to do so.

In the Group Two Romanised Minstrel Stakes she looks to be fielding the smart Njord who is a course and distance winner at the track that always gives his best.

In the other Group Two event she could enter Astadash who is needs to improve but is not without a chance and another runner on the day that looks smart is Anner Castle in the 1m4f Maiden.

Harrington has been running at 15% strike rate for the last two weeks landing seven winners from 48 runners which is a very smart return.

Jockey To Follow - Colin Keane

Colin Keane could be set for a big day in Ireland on Sunday, having a handful of smart rides for his retained trainer Ger Lyons and other smart handlers on the day.

Keane has a superb record at the track over the last 12 months, riding 131 times and managing to gain 22 winners and 23 places which sees him pose a win rate of 17%.

The rider has been one of the top jockeys in the Irish flat racing sphere for the last five years and now adding Group One winners to his roster is only going to develop him further.
