Who to follow at the Curragh on Friday

Horse To Follow - Patrick Sarsfield

The horse we believe it may pay to follow on Friday is the Joseph O'Brien trained Patrick Sarsfield who is a four year old on the up.

The gelding is very unexposed for his age only racing four times and placing in all of those events, getting off the mark in fine style last time out at the Curragh.

In October the son of Australia won a 14 runner maiden but absolutely obliterated the field in doing so and improving will be very tough to be in the Irish Lincoln on Friday.

Trainer To Follow - Jessica Harrington

Jessica Harrington is a master trainer in both spheres of the sport and since the resumption of racing in Ireland the female handler has made a very successful start.

She has currently had 27 runners and has recorded seven winners with others placing in decent contests which has overall seen her gain a strike rate of 25.93%.

She has numerous runners on the day but the two we are fond of are Flash Gordon in the third race of the afternoon and Njord in the Irish Lincolnshire who has a live each way chance.

Jockey To Follow - Shane Foley

Along with Jessica Harrington's success already this term, her retained rider Shane Foley has also made an electric start to the season, being a big positive on her horses.

From his 17 rides since the start of the Irish season the jockey has gone on to land six races which has seen him pick up a strike rate of 35.29%.

He sits on Flash Gordon for Harrington but has also picked up other rides for other trainers that have live chances throughout the day.
