The final event of the afternoon is the Group Three Darley Stakes and the horse we like the look of is the John & Thady Gosden trained Mostahdaf.

The three year old son of Frankel has looked very progressive this term, starting his season off in March and getting up and running straight away when landing a nice event at Newcastle by just over four lengths.

He backed that up in Kempton in April beating some talented horses and then landed a hat-trick of wins at Sandown on soft ground in the Listed Heron Stakes.

Sent to Royal Ascot for the Group One St James's Palace Stakes the ground was far too quick for him and he ran no sort of race.

Given some time off after that race he returned in the Listed Fortune Stakes at Sandown on soft ground and got back to winning ways, seeing off a fair group of horses.

He now steps back up to group company getting his ideal conditions and if improving for his last run he won't be far away again.

Trainer To Follow - Charlie Appleby

Charlie Appleby could be set for a superb day on the Rowley Mile on Saturday with some stand out chances in the big group races.

His big runner across the day comes in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes which he landed back in 2019, with Native Trail looking to land the second big race of his career.

Other nice shouts for the Newmarket based handler include, Hafit and Goldspur in the Zetland Stakes, Coroebus in the Autumn Stakes and Barney Roy in the Darley Stakes.

Appleby heads into the meeting running at a superb strike rate of 29% for the last two weeks having managed to produce eight winners from his last 28 runners.

Jockey To Follow - James Doyle

Finally, the man in the saddle to follow on Friday is the Godolphin second string rider James Doyle, who has some nice rides for his retained owner, but like on Friday has also managed to pick up some nice spares.

His best chance of the day comes in the Zetland Stakes where the once raced Goldspur has a huge chance to build on his exciting debut.

Other nice mounts for the jockey include Dubawi Legend in the Dewhurst Stakes and Withold in the Cesarewitch Handicap.

The Doyler has been banging in the winners of late landing six winners from his last 33 rides which sees him pose a 18% strike rate ahead of the meeting.
