Trainer To Follow - Gordon Elliott

Gordon Elliott sends a strong team to Navan on Sunday starting in the opener where he runs four in the 3-Y-O Hurdle and New Years Honours looks the pick of the bunch.

In the Maiden Hurdle the Cullentra handler runs another three horses with Firm Footings, My Trump Card and Themanintheboots all having chances.

His best chance on the afternoon comes in the Grade Three Monksfield Novice Hurdle where the exciting American Mike is looking to make it 2/2 over hurdles. He also runs Three Card Brag in that race who looks ones for handicaps later down the line.

Jungle Prose is looking to make it four in a row in the Handicap Hurdle whilst the handler also fields Bodhisattva for Robcour.

The big race of the day is the Troytown Handicap Chase and Elliott again has gone strong in the race with Farclas, Coko Beach, Hurricane Georgie, Frontal Assault, Death Duty, Defi Bleu, Punitive and Glenloe all declared.

Gordon Elliott unleashes the smart hurdler Fil Dor over fences for the first time in the Beginners Chase with Iberique Du Seuil also running.

Finally in the Listed bumper Mollys Mango and Miss Augusta are looking to round off what could be a succesful day for the trainer.

Jockey To Follow - Mark Walsh

Experienced rider Mark Walsh has a nice book of rides on Sunday at Navan starting in the opener where he sits on Tekao for Willie Mullins making his debut.

Walsh next rides Dawn Rising in the Grade Three Monksfield Novice Hurdle where he has a tough task to beat American Mike but is the favourites most likely opponent.

Enjoy D'allen gets a spin over fences with the once Grand National hope having his second run of the season and then in the Troytown Handicap Chase School Boy Hours could hit the frame.

Walsh finished the afternoon on the smart hurdler Saint Roi who make his chase debut and if showing his form over timber he should go close.
