Morning Mayhem 11/1

Arrives here race fit compared to a few in here and has finished second in his last two races which were better races than this so looks a nice price today. If off a higher mark but seems to be improving and this slightly longer trip may bring out more. Is ground versatile and Kielan Wood also retains the partnership in the saddle.

Mind Those Steps 7/1

Didn't really get the rub of the green in a classier race than this last time out so that makes him interesting down into calmer waters today. Can handle softer ground and looks to have a nice pace to aim at here so could well go close. Has also won and placed in Class 2 company which is another positive seeing this is a Class 3 race.

Ice Jet 4/1

The current favourite may be tough to beat but Ice Jet looks a real improver for the Skeltons. Did extremely well over hurdles during the spring and won well for the first time over fences 38 days ago so arrives here a little bit fresh which is no bad thing. Having watched him a few times now it seems a course like Cheltenham could really suit and with the Skeltons flying of late a big run is expected here.

Fine Interview 9/2

His last win came over this course and distance and he's also a proven winner on soft ground so there's no reason why he shouldn't go close in this even with it being a super competitive race. Cheekpieces go back on (won with them before and is 3-6 over this course and distance).

Gower Prince 10/1

Arrives here with form figures reading 221221 so he looks a big price today despite having to do more in this due to a penalty because of his last success. Yard are in good form recently and this talented claimer in the saddle retains the ride.

U Sure Do 14/1

Looks an open race and the favourite could well be vulnerable so worth chancing something at a price and U Sure Do may be able to spring a surprise in this. Is a proven winner in this sort of ground and won't mind if more rain comes on the day. Back up to 7 furlongs is also no negative as he's won over this trip before.

Matiwo 18/1

Will have more on his plater here but can improve for that first outing which came 25 days and that was his first run for 219 days. Will most likely go from the front and be up there with the pace so needs to get in a good routine jumping wise and that will allow him to play a part. Trainer also has an impressive 24.53% strike rate in Novice Hurdle races.

Calico 7/2

Question marks surround a few of his market rivals and he deserves to be favourite here considering he's won this exact race the past two years. Skeltons know what to do with him and he loves running fresh so this has probably been the target once more.
