Who To Follow At Doncaster On Saturday - 29/01/22

Trainer To Follow - Paul Nicholls

Paul Nicholls is not known for having many winners in January but seems to be coming into a bit of form and at Doncaster on Saturday holds some big chances.

In the first race of the day he fields Gala De Corton who is looking to land back to back wins at the track having won over two miles last time out.

Quickly after that he has Roque it for the same connections in the handicap chase with the eight year old looking to get back to his form from two starts ago.

In the Yorkshire Mares' Hurdle he holds leading claims with the favourite Miranda, who is already a course and distance winner, taking this race last year and heads into the race in good form.

Finally, in the Sky Bet Handicap Chase he has big each way claims with the JP McManus owned Kapcorse who was a bold winner last time out on his first start for over a year.

Jockey To Follow - James Bowen

James Bowen is a trainer bang in form heading into the Town Moor meeting and he could easily add to his good run with some nice chances across the card.

In the Yorkshire Mares' Hurdle he sits on Anna Bunina who is looking to cause an upset against the favourite Miranda.

He gets the mount on another John McConnell trained horse in the River Don Novices' Hurdle with Mahler Mission not without a chance in the three mile event.

Finally, in the Sky Bet Chase Fussil Raffles looks to have a very good chance if running to his past form over fences.

Bowen heads into the meeting sporting a strike rate of 35% for the last two weeks having landed seven winners from his last 20 rides.
