Mister Whippy 6/1

Made a decent debut but took a step forward to finish 2nd at Newbury over 7 furlongs last time out, still looking a little green out in front. Looks like this step up in trip will suit and with more experience in the books, he should show less signs of inexperience.

Amancio 9/1

Well at home on soft ground and won in the mud on his last outing on the level at Carlisle back in June. Has been raised 4lbs in the weights for that effort but gets ideal conditions again with the rain around, returns from a short break and looks like he might just get a soft lead here. Up in the weights but has a perfect set up to make it back to back flat wins.

Oliver Show 4/1

Handles any ground and has run well twice at this venue this season to be in the frame over 7 furlongs. Handles cut in the ground and does stay a mile well and a mark of 89 has him dangerously well handicapped. Billy Loughnane retains the ride.

Shagraan 11/4

Won this race last year in good style and has proven versatile for going conditions, signing off last season with a listed win at Ascot on soft ground. Will handle conditions better than some of his rivals and lines up here off the back of a nice break to freshen him up. Drawn wide but has a nice set up to drag him into the race.

Purosangue 8/1

Well treated off a handicap mark of 93 based on his best form and hasn’t been in bad form in handicap contests this season. His best effort of the campaign has come over this trip and his career best form has come on softer ground. Gets going conditions to suit off a workable looking mark, should be able to get into the frame.

Rocking Ends 7/1

Won this race last year off a 1lbs higher mark and generally goes well at this venue. Has just begun to slip in the weights after a good win at Newmarket saw his handicap mark jump and he’s got form on fast to slightly slower ground. Well treated and will have been aimed at this target.

Nuit d’Eclair 5/1

Was somehow beaten at Newmarket at this level when last seen, travelling like the best horse and just being reeled in before the line by a fast finisher. Brings the best form to this contest and her sire handled soft ground fine. Can gain compensation for her group three defeat last time out.

Magny Cours 6/1

Enjoys softer ground and has been given tough assignments this season, coming 2nd to True Love at Leopardstown in April before a poor effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Has been given time to come right after that effort, gets some cut underfoot and eases in grade and trip. Can put in a bold effort if fully wound up after 98 days off the track.

Ohara 12/1

Stays this trip and handles soft ground. Can be excused for two lesser efforts recently at Ascot, being aimed at tough races on rattling fast ground. Drops back in trip slightly and into a smaller field on soft ground. Connections opt for a 7lbs claimer in the saddle and he might just handle the conditions better than his rivals.
