Got off the mark on debut at short odds and posted the stand out piece of form in this field with his 2nd in a listed race at Newbury. Splitting the subsequent 1st and 4th in the Gimcrack Stakes, the forms worked out well producing listed level winners and group level places. Shaped like this step up in trip would suit with his determined win last time out.

Anthropologist 15/2

Has been running to a good level in handicaps as of late and shaping like the move back up to a mile will unlock that extra bit of improvement needed to get his head in front again. Notably gets Sammy Jo Bell booked in the saddle for this legend’s race, she’s won this 3 times and hit the frame in the race last year. Likely to give another good ride being one of the younger and fitter jockey’s in the race.

Pershaada 5/2

Ran better than her placing suggests against older horses in the Nunthorpe Stakes last time out and posted one of the best juvenile sprinting performances of the season at Goodwood, beating Adonius and Sale Shark quite convincingly. Back against her own age group here and sets the standard at the top of the market.

Queenstown 15/8

Returned from a long absence with an easy victory at the Curragh over 14 furlongs three weeks ago and posted some strong form in staying contests last season, including the Ebor, the Irish Cesarewitch and the Prix Du Cadran. Stays this trip fine and handles any underfoot conditions, with Caballo De Mar in such poor form of late, this Aidan O’Brien trained runner can capitalise.

Salamanca City 6/1

Maybe more exposed than some of her rivals here, Salamanca City lines up in great form, having won three of her five outings this season and coming 2nd when she hasn’t won. She is creeping up the weights for her exploits but continues to find the necessary improvement to remain competitive. Travelled well before being outstayed up a stiff finish last time out, will appreciate this more flat galloping track.
