Who To Follow On The Third Day Of Linfield's Winter Million Festival

Lingfield (AW) - January 23 2022
Lingfield (AW) 12:50
Jamie Moore

J: Jamie Moore
T: A Wohler
Age: 5
Weight: 11-8
Days: 85

The first race of the day at Lingfield sees the two mile National Hunt Flat Race over two miles on the all weather and the German raider Estacas gets our vote.

The five year old son of Galileo made his debut in this sphere at Ascot in late October when putting up a superb performance to win late on, when all hope of getting looked lost coming round the bend.

Jamie Moore takes the ride again having won on him last time out and he is running at a 30% strike rate for the last two weeks.

Trainer Andreas Wohler is another shrewd operator when having runners in England having had 18 runners in the UK during his career and he has acquired five winners and place, which is remarkable form.

Big chance if handling the all weather.

Trainer To Follow - Gavin Cromwell

Irish trainer Gavin Cromwell sends over a decent team of runners on the final day of the Winter Millions festival and with that in mind might be worth following.

In the first event over hurdles he fields Fameaftertheglory who has some strong form in Ireland and will be looking to convert that in England.

Cromwell also sends over Darver Star in one of the feature races of the day with the gelding getting back to form last time out over hurdles and could well go well again.

The Irishman heads into the meeting sporting a 15% strike rate for the last two weeks managing two winners from 13 runners.

Jockey To Follow - Harry Cobden

Finally, Harry Cobden heads back to Lingfield on Sunday after riding their on Friday with some big shouts across the day, mostly for trainer Paul Nicholls.

In the valuable Novices' Chase he sits on Il Ridoto who is a five year old that still holds bundles of talent and coming back from a small break should flourish.

Looking to cause an upset in the 2m3f hurdles event he gets the mount on Miranda, with the mare holding some decent form.

One of his best chances of the afternoon comes on Master Tommytucker in the Fleur De Lys Chase with the 11 year old primed for a big run.
