This weekend sees some great racing from a number of places around the UK, but we believe to have found one at Ascot that looks to be a nice each way player.

In the Class 2 Lavazza Stakes Handicap over 1m4f at Ascot we believe the Roger Varian trained Alfaadhel looks a big each way price at 8/1.

The three year old is jocked up for the race and having been given over a month off since his last race, he looks certain to turn up, all being well.

Alfaadhel is a well bred son of Night Of Thunder costing 360,000gns as a yearling and this term he has been seen five times to date.

Making a bright start in April at Newbury over a mile when third behind the talented Foxes Tales, the colt then went to Chester over 10.5f and landed the first win of his career in nice style.

He backed that up at Lingfield shortly after again beating some nice types, but unfortunately after that he was sent to Royal Ascot on soft ground and ran no race in a competitive handicap.

Given over a month off he returned on better ground at Glorious Goodwood and travelled beautifully throughout the race, just being seen off in the latter stages by the smart Qaader.

Stepping up to 12f looks the right way to go with this horse and having been a eye-catching traveller of late, he is worth another go at 8/1.
