With some superb racing across this weekend from all parts of England, today we are focusing on the Grade Two Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton and last year's renewal.
In 2020 Song For Someone for trainer Tom Symonds landed the event at Kempton, with the event being moved, but it is back at the Somerset based track this season.
The six year old has been a superb hurdler for the thriving yard, landing this event last term and then going on to land both his events this term.
He managed to see off the likes of Diego Du Charmil, Ch'tibello and smart chaser Zambella and has this term kicked on into a different division.
He made his seasonal debut at Ascot over 2m3f in the Grade Two Ascot Hurdle and saw off Grade One winner Laurina and other black type winner Call Me Lord.
The Champion Hurdle was now on the agenda after his debut win and he stepped down in trip at Cheltenham for the International Hurdle and in a race that saw a bunched finish, he stayed on best of the rest to land the spoils.
👏🏻 A big day for trainer @thomsymonds!
