Throwback Race Of The Day For Tuesday - 12/10/21

Cracksman

Today we are looking back at one of the best recent renewals of the Champions Stakes, with the big Group One rounding off the British flat season this term at the weekend.

The superstar was a winner of his sole start as a two-year-old, a race where he beat Stradivarius, Cracksman was then seen being beaten less than a length in both the English and Irish Derbies, before storming to wide-margin victories in the Great Voltiguer, the Prix Niel in France and the Champion Stakes.

Today we are homing in on that Champion Stakes victory which saw him take the Prestigious Group One by close to seven lengths, in one of the most recent dominating renewals of the contest.

Returning as a four year old Cracksman went on to win events like the Prix Ganay, Coronation Cup and for a second time took out the Champion Stakes at Ascot, this time by six lengths.

However, we are here today to look back at his first win in the race.

Enjoy!
