Three Juveniles That Could Have A Promising Flat Career

Mystery Power

The first two year old that we believe to have impressed this season but certainly one to follow in his three year old career is Mystery Power.

He could be a shinning light in what has been a difficult year for King Power racing after the death of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha but this juvenile from his two starts look a big improver.

With these newcomers it is all about how they grown and mature in the off season before their three year old campaigns but for the moment this colt can do no more.

He has had two starts to date with his first coming in a maiden at Haydock where he showed plenty of ability to nicely and efficiently win the race.

He was then massively stepped up in Class by his trainer Richard Hannon and put into the Group 2 Superlative Stakes and again he stepped up to the mark under a great ride by Oisin Murphy.

He stayed on better than the rest of the competitive pack and has been mentioned as a horse to watch for next season in the 2000 Guineas.

Siskin

Secondly we turn to Ireland's leading juvenile for trainer Ger Lyons and Siskin in the colours of Prince Khalid Abdullah looks a serious horse for the future.

The two year old started his career back in May of this year at Naas where he won very comfortably and immediately looked a star in the making.

He was stepped up to a Listed event by his trainer and was better than his first run beating the same horse that he did on his debut and another Aidan O'Brien horse.

With the potential there he had to go up again in Class and after winning over course and distance at the Curragh he went for the Group 2 Railway stakes where he was an emphatic winner and again being the thorn of the side of A P O'Brien with his two horses way back in second and third.

This unbeaten colt is a very pacy individual that looks likely to stay at this distance and is one to watch for the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot.

Pinatubo

The final two year old of the trio to follow is Godolphin's bright spark Pinatubo who like the others is unbeaten in all of his races but seems to be the next big star for his connections.

He started his career on the all weather at Wolverhampton and although not really suiting the conditions, won readily and Charlie Appleby knew his next step was for turf.

He went to Epsom, which is renowned for being a very tricky track but at the Derby meeting he landed the Woodcote Stakes getting up nicely and showing a clear turn of pace.

With potential in abundance, he was sent to Royal Ascot in the Listed Chesham Stakes and not only did he break the course two year old record over seven furlongs but also recorded a better Racing Post Rating in that race than the famous Churchill which is massive.

He is a horse that could step up to a mile or run at 6f but wherever Charlie Appleby chooses to go with him he has to be a big prospect.
