We're siding with the current outsider here, who looks tremendous value for a yard that has tasted success in this race before. He notched up a third win in just five career starts on his seasonal reappearance and has since run with plenty of credit in competitive handicaps. Down 1lb and representing a yard in flying form of late, he has the potential to outrun his odds.
Adaay Of Scarlett 8/1
A super-consistent horse who probably does his best work over 5 furlongs but has been far from disgraced over 6 furlongs. There is plenty of potential among his rivals, but they are not guaranteed to show it here, especially at Goodwood. He has finished no worse than second in all five of his career starts and looks the one to be with at the prices.
Enceladus 5/2
He is surely the one to beat here, considering the form of his last race looks exceptionally strong. Al Azd won impressively at Ascot on Friday and looks a special horse in his own right, which gives this form a significant boost. A big run is expected from a stable in flying form, with Joseph Patrick O'Brien enjoying an excellent spell.
Diamond Necklace 4/5
We already saw one superstar remain unbeaten yesterday in Bow Echo, and she can do the same here. She has looked pure class based on everything she's shown so far and is very hard to oppose, with the market reflecting that. She landed her third consecutive Group 1 victory when last seen and should be fit as a fiddle for this after a 46-day break.
Baker Blue 22/1
A very tricky race to solve, but one at a price is Baker Blue, who looks to have plenty going for him and certainly makes plenty of appeal at these odds. Connections pitched him into a competitive race at Royal Ascot, and he improved significantly for that outing when finishing a very close second at Pontefract last time. Goodwood looks a track that should suit him well, and with the yard hitting form again, he's one to be very interested in.
