On Sunday, joint-license holders Simon & Ed Crisford will be looking to have a winner north of the border in Scotland, sending just the one runner on the 722 mile round trip up to Hamilton Park.
Whenever we see any yard travel a fair way with one of their runners we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be travelling all that distance if they did not believe they have a real chance of collecting some prize money along the way.
The Crisford’s have done particularly well when sending their horses at least this distance, maintaining a perfect 100% strike rate, having had two winners from two runners, and their only runner at Hamilton this season was successful, so with those factors taken into this account this filly has to be granted the utmost respect.
This daughter of Invincible Spirit didn’t take long to lose her maiden tag, readily opening her account at Bath on her penultimate start, and while she was well held in her bid to follow up behind a talented Godolphin-owned gelding last time, that rival has since been handed a rating of 85 so her rating of 83 suggests she should hold every chance ahead of her handicap debut today.
Fancied to return to winning ways.
