Moonrise 12/1

The Princess Margaret Stakes has been a decent pointer to this contest over the years, producing a couple winners and a place, this year’s winner Moonrise looks to be coming in slightly overpriced in the market. The 3rd and 4th from her last run have gone well since and all the pace in the race is drawn nearby. Should get a perfect tow into the race and sees out this trip well.

Sun Goddess 1/1

This is maybe one of the best bits of placement for the whole week, Sun Goddess was last seen winning the Group One Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh just 11 days ago and drops into a class two under a penalty. She’s backing up quickly but brings the best form to the table by far and if running to the same level she did last time out, she’ll take all the beating.

Bullet Point 11/2

It’s quite hard to get away from Bullet Point near the top of the market, having won this race last year and lines up again under Tom Marquand only 1lbs higher in the weights. Ran well when last seen in the Shergar Cup off this mark to be 2nd, hinting at a return to form just in time to come back here. Looks nicely treated, goes well here and handles any ground.

Legacy Link 14/1

Just looks too big of a price at a general 14/1, having won the Musidora Stakes at this venue before handling slower ground in the Oaks to be 2nd to Thundering On. Found her run at Royal Ascot coming too soon to her Oaks effort, finishing a well beaten 7th but with a good break to freshen her up, she can continue her progression now.

A La Prochaine 11/2

Broke her maiden over a mile on soft ground last October and ran well to be in the mix in both the Chester Oaks and the Epsom Oaks. Just looked to lack a little bit of class at Epsom but has been given a nice break to freshen up and returns eased massively in grade and with a good deal of rain around to give her some give underfoot.
