A trainer on Thursday is looking to have a winner at Sedgefield over the jumps, sending just one runner to the northern based track on the day, which sees the handler make a 440 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Trainer Charlie Longsdon loves bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 22% during his career having had 70 winners from 318 runners.
The seven year old is very lightly raced compared to the field and this season has been seen to good effect on two occasions, winning on seasonal debut at Worcester and then last time out finishing a good third at Doncaster off 8lb higher.
The second in that race has since gone on to win a nice event at Ludlow and that sets the form in the race.
