One Horse, Jockey And Trainer To Follow From Salisbury On Sunday

Horse To Follow - Khaadem

The horse to follow at Salisbury on Sunday comes in the feature Listed Cathedral Stakes over six furlongs and Khaadem for Charles Hills just looks a class above this field.

The five year old has always threatened to be a smart sprinter landing the Stewards Cup at Glorious Goodwood back in 2019 at a canter and although performing well at the top table has never been able to win.

Last season the Shadwell owned horse finished a close up fourth in the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and then followed that up at Newmarket in the July Stakes with another good fourth.

He flopped at Meydan in March and was also below par at Haydock last time out, but if finding the form of old back in Listed company he surely has to go close.

Needs a a revival and this looks the race to do it in.

Trainer To Follow - Roger Varian

Roger Varian heads to Salisbury on Sunday in fine form and with him sending a few runners to the track he looks to be a handler to keep on side.

Leading players for the Newmarket handler look to be Kindred Spirit in the 7f Fillies Handicap, Line Of Departure in the Listed event and George Bancroft in the last race of the day.

Varian has been in electric nick of late currently running at a strike rate of 24% having had nine winners from his last 36 runners over the last two weeks.

Jockey To Follow - Oisin Murphy

Last but not least the jockey to follow across the meeting at Salisbury on Sunday is the two time champion jockey Oisin Murphy who has a lovely book of rides.

Murphy's best chances on the day look to be Spirit Mixer in the last and Frankella in the Novice Stakes for Andrew Balding and Deep Snow for Saeed bin Suroor.

Murphy has been consistent all season round and over the last two weeks has gained a strike rate of 21% having landed 10 races from 47 rides.
