Naas Gamble Sees Two Horses For The Same Trainer Smashed In The Betting

In 3:25 at Naas on Saturday there has been some huge money come in for a horse of Charles Byrnes, that offers very little form and it looks as though for a second week running we have a gamble on our hands.

Rough Terrain for trainer Charles Byrnes has undergone a massive gamble today with his six year old gelding being 33/1 at the start of today but is now a best price of 7/4

This is not the first time Charles Byrnes has been involved with horses dramatically changing prices throughout the day and he could be on to another successful gamble today.

The horse in question is Rough Terrain, who offers very little form throughout his career having not been placed in all 10 of his last races.

On his two runs this year he has been last on both occasions at Thurles and Killarney and if not for the Gamble this horses would have been opposable once again.

The second of the runners for Charles Byrnes is Hashtag Watt in the lucky last which sees the INH Flat Race over two miles.

Unlike his stablemate this horse is unraced and is making his debut in this event and is currently a best price of 11/4 having been 8/1 at the start of the day.

The four year old is a half brother to bumpers/chase winner Echo Watt and on the dams side this horse has a cracking jumping pedigree.

Paddy Power reportedly "paid out well into six figures" as a result of the Charles Byrnes gamble at Roscommon a few years back and he is looking to do a similar thing today with these two runners.
