Lillie Langtry Stakes Guide

1. Enbihaar

Trainer - John Gosden

Jockey - Jim Crowley

John Gosden has landed a lot of the big races this week and Enbihaar has every chance of keeping that run going as she heads into this contest with the best form on offer.

This four year old has won two out of his three starts this season only finishing second in the other but his latest performance is the one that stands out.

She was sent back down to 1 mile 2f at Haydock in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks and put in a superb performance to win nicely beating some of her rivals today which is what makes her one to watch.

2. Dramatic Queen

Trainer - William Haggas

Jockey - James Doyle

Second in the market in behind Enbihaar is Dramatic Queen and again this filly is a very consistent runner especially in her last two outings.

She got off the mark for the season on her second start when beating Enbihaar over 1 mile 4f at York but in the Group 2 Lancashire Stakes when dropped in trip she was not as good and Gosden's horse reversed the form.

It sets it up for a a deciding battle between the two at the top of the market with Dramatic Queen needing a bit more this time around but maybe suiting the step up in trip.

3. Pilaster

Trainer - Roger Varian

Jockey - David Egan

Pilaster is a very interesting character as she holds plenty of ability being out of Nathaniel but has now gone a long time since her last win and needs to bounce back here.

Her last win came in this exact race where she superbly got up late in the day but since then has been in some tough races and has not been able to cope.

Her third last time out at Haydock in a Fillies Group 3 contest was a step in the right direction but some of the field look a bit to good here.

4. Flowering Peach

Trainer - Aidan O'Brien

Jockey - Sean Levey

Aidan O'Brien has got three hopefuls in this race as he looks to dominate the proceedings and Flowering Peach is the outsider of his trio.

This Galileo filly has been frequently raced this season winning two of her five races but when stepped up in trip being outclassed which suggests that another go at 1 mile 6f won't change things.

5. Manuela De Vega

Trainer - Ralph Beckett

Jockey - Harry Bentley

Ralph Beckett's three year old filly is stepping up to this distance for the first time in her career and it will do one of two things for her career.

When she has been stepped up in trip normally she has not quite finished her races off even though a good fourth in the Epsom Oaks.

She looks opposable on her form this season.

6. Peach Tree

Trainer - Aidan O'Brien

Jockey - Andrea Atzeni

Peach Tree is a very frustrating filly being tried at many different distances but it looks as if 1 mile 6f is her preferred distance showing that she stays really well.

Another filly out of Galileo, this season she was stepped up in trip massively after running at a mile and below in her juvenile career.

On her only run at 1 mile 6f she landed a decent Group 3 at Leopardstown and that form is what keeps her in contention for the placings in this one.

7. South Sea Pearl

Trainer - Aidan O'Brien

Jockey - Ryan Moore

The best chance from the Ballydoyle yard is this filly who scored superbly last time out at Leopardstown when taking a Listed contest over this trip today.

She stayed on strongly under a great ride from Ryan Moore and with the same partnership at it again in a quick turn around for the three year old she has to be taken seriously.
