Love Envoi

T: Harry Fry
N/A
Age: 6
Weight: 11-5
OR: 128
Days: 27

The market leader in the race is the £38,000 purchase Love Envoi for Harry Fry who has been a superb asset to the team this season, winning all four of his races under rules to date.

Winning a bumper at Navan in March for Sean Doyle, she was then bought and sent to Harry Fry and has been exceptional.

Making her debut in December at Leicester over 2m4f she went on to beat a nice horse in Miss Fairfax and then backed that up next time out at Warwick in a Mares Novice Hurdle, winning even more impressively.

Dropped down in trip to two miles last time out at Lingfield's Winter Million festival, she went on to beat the talented Nurse Susan in heavy conditions.

She is progressing with every run and now deserves her chance in Grade Two company, with the step back up in trip being no issue.

Nina The Terrier

Age: 6
Weight: 11-5
OR: 133
Days: 61

The five year old was a fair horse in bumpers, winning her opener back in November 2020 and then knocking on the door in other events.

However, since the switch to obstacles she has looked a totally different horse landing a hat-trick of wins and even giving 3lb away on Saturday she looks to be the one to beat.

Having won nicely at Warwick in May on hurdles debut, she then went to Chepstow up in trip and was another facile winner of a fair event.

Next time out taking on Ahorsewithnoname and Elle Est Belle, giving away 8lb to the both of them, she sauntered clear in the final stages to land the hat-trick.

However, since then she has been out of sorts, falling when beaten in a Listed event at Haydock and then last time out was only second when up in trip again at Haydock.

She needs to be better than both those runs to win this but could easily bounce back.

Haute Estime

T: Lucinda Russell
N/A
Age: 5
Weight: 11-7
OR: 125
Days: 61

Haute Estime for trainer Lucinda Russell is a leading contender in this event although does have to give away weight to the rest of the field.

Being an average bumper horse, she has faired a much better horse over hurdles this term, running three times and going on to win two of them.

Making her seasonal debut this term over two miles at Kelso she went on to win impressively by eight lengths, but when looking to back that up at Haydock was well beaten in a Listed event.

Looking to need a step up in trip she got that back at Haydock next time out and beat market rival Nine The Terrier by half a length.

She is 5lbs worse off today but should improve once more for an extra furlong in this race.

Speech Bubble

J: Gavin Sheehan
T: Noel Williams
N/A
Age: 7
Weight: 11-2
OR: 128
Days: 29

The Noel Williams trained Speech Bubble looks to be a smart horse but mind find some of these too good at Group Two level.

Winning on bumper debut in November 2020 at Ffos Las he was then seen twice more in bumpers, finishing sixth of 13 at Huntingdon before a valiant second in a Listed event at Sandown.

Being sent over hurdles this term the mare finished second to a well backed horse at Lingfield before getting off the mark next time out at Newbury.

Handles the trip fine but will need to improve in this company.

Harry Cobden

Swincombe Fleat

J: Harry Cobden
T: Anthony Honeyball
N/A
Age: 6
Weight: 11-2
OR: 116
Days: 29

The penultimate runner of the race is the Anthony Honeyball trained Swincombe Fleat who is one of the most exposed horses in the field.

Winning one of his four bumper starts at Fontwell in heavy ground, he also finished fourth behind rival Speech Bubble and then was dead last in the 15 runner Grade Two bumper at Aintree.

As a hurdler this term she has been above average, finishing a 14 length third on debut over 2m7f behind two next time winners and then herself got off the mark for her career at Exeter over a shorter trip.

She was last seen finishing fourth again behind rival Speech Bubble and it looks tough for her to reverse that form, although she is 6lb better off now.

La Renommee

J: Sam Twiston-Davies
T: Dr Richard Newland
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 10-2
OR: 120
Days: 20

The final runner of the race is the Dr Richard Newland trained La Renommee who is a smart mare bought for €120,000 from France and has since been seen once in England.

Being a smart mare in France, running once on the flat but then when sent over hurdles won a conditions hurdle before narrowly being beaten at Auteuil in a good race.

She made her British/yard debut in the Listed Juvenile Hurdle over two miles at Doncaster and in a strong field on quicker ground than she likes, she ran no race.

Going back up in trip and on softer ground we can truly see what she is made of.
