One of the stars of the 2018 novice chasing season, Dynamite Dollars has sadly passed away after his trainer Paul Nicholls confirmed the news late on Friday evening.
The seven year old raced 16 times during his career and went on to win six of them including some huge races which included the Grade One Henry VIII Novices' Chase, Grade Two Wayward Lad Novices' Chase and the Grade Two Lightning Novices' Chase at Doncaster.
The gelding got close to £200,000 in prize money during his career but the real disappointment for the yard and connections was the potential he held after coming back from an injury lay off this season in good form.
He finished a narrow third on his first start back when taking on the likes of Altior and Sceau Royal and that put him good stead for the Cheltenham festival where he was second to stablemate Politologue in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
With a full season under his belt he could have gone on to be a real contender in the two mile chasing division and it is devastating for the yard and connections that this has happened.
Sorry to hear that the Paul Nicholls-trained Dynamite Dollars has passed away after suffering a heart attack.
