Baaeed Set For Group One Challenge In France

Baaeed

Exciting prospect Baaeed is set to thrown into Group One company next time out as his trainer Willia, Haggas has outlined his next target of the Prix Moulin in France.

The highly rated three year old only started his racecourse career at the start of June and has since gone on to win all four of his events in fine style, winning more impressively each time.

Having landed a decent Maiden at Leicester on his debut, Haggas sent him into a Novices event next time out at Newmarket and went on to bolt up by nearly eight lengths.

Firmly putting himself as a horse to follow, he improved once more to land the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes on the July Course, seeing off smart stars Maximal and One Ruler with ease.

Last time out at Glorious Goodwood he took on his toughest field yet in the Group Three Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes, but once again he took it in his stride and saw off El Drama by close to seven lengths.

This is a similar winning margin that multiple Group One winner St Mark's Basilica gave to El Drama in the Coral Eclipse.

Having done well at home since his latest win, the Haggas team are now ready to see how good he is and on September 5th he will head over to France for the Prix Moulin, before looking a big contender for the QEII on British Champions Day.

“So the number one plan is to go to the Moulin if all is well.

“Obviously before the horse had run it would have been a silly thing to say this is what he would do, but he was a well-bred horse going into it. It just took him a bit of time to come to himself.

“He won well at Leicester and if you’d said to me then he would be racing in a Group One in four races then yes, of course that would be a surprise, but we always thought he was a horse with huge potential.”
